Released for Xbox 360 in 2008, The Last Remnant is a relatively modern Square Enix RPG. He sees you playing as teen warrior Rush Sykes as you walk around chatting with NPCs and engaging in battles.
Your overall goal is to end a war on remnants that is taking place between different city-states. The campaign sees you traveling among these city-states and kicking the asses of their most contentious citizens.
The Last Remnant has a distinctive combat system that uses dynamic controls that change based on the position of units in the field. Morale comes into play as well, with higher morale giving units a boost.
It’s a heavy download at 6GB, and it’s quite expensive even at its reduced price. But if you’re in the market for some high-octane RPG thrills, The Last Remnant might do the trick.
