As always, there’s a lot of good stuff on the horizon in this week’s roundup of the most interesting titles and updates. Take Farlight 84, which looks like a contender for our most anticipated game of 2021 – though Tomb Raider Reloaded is giving it a run for its money.
There is a lot of new content to enjoy in the games that have already been released, including a new region on the awesome MudRunner Mobile and a groundbreaking update for Polytopia.

Farlight 84, from Lilith Games and Miracle Games, looks like an absolute plugging. It’s a battle royale set in a post-apocalyptic future filled with cyborg zombies. It’s a colorful, action-packed genre mix with MOBA and RPG elements on top of its core gameplay, and it’ll be released in 2021.
Niantic has announced his advent plans. Throughout the month of December, you will be able to participate in a Groundbreaking Research Encounter, which will earn you Lapras or Unovan Darumaka by completing seven days of Research tasks. You’ll also be able to catch Kyurem in Five Star Raids, and more.
Among us had a funny old life. He went relatively unnoticed during his first two years in the market, before absolutely exploding in popularity this year thanks to a few influential streamers playing him on Twitch. This put him in the unconventional position of winning a breakthrough award years after his first appearance.
Total War Battles: Warhammer should not be confused with Total War: Warhammer. Instead, it is the latest addition to the Total War Battles series. This means that you can expect a rich and accessible strategy experience involving macro-level world domination and micro-level battles with, if the trailer is anything, at least one giant spider.
DEEMO -Reborn- is already available on PS4 and PC. This is a reboot of the original DEEMO, but with a major graphic overhaul. It sees you going on an adventure with the titular Deemo, who tries to reclaim her lost memories while taking an eerie break for a moment of rhythmic piano action. Pre-register now. If you want.
Lara Croft is back. Square Enix released a frustrating and evasive trailer featuring no gameplay, but a cartoonish graphic style and a list of enemies – giant bugs, rocky monsters, dinosaurs – that suggest we’re in for a fantasy-tinged release. Smart Money is on something similar to Guardian of Light and Temple of Osiris.
MudRunner Mobile has just received another shipment of new content. The Old Timers DLC adds a new region to the game’s map called Rocky Hills – yet another sub-optimal driving surface. The new DLC will set you back $ 2.99. This makes it much cheaper than its PC counterpart, but it omits the Napco 3100 and GMC DW950 vehicles.
Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower, Perchang’s well-received turn-based strategy game, has just received its first big update. It’s called the Dead of Night expansion and adds new champions and enemies, including the Demons of Nurgle and the Grave Warning. Good luck figuring out who is the champion and who is the enemy.
The latest update to Battle of Polytopia is a humdinger. It’s so big, in fact, that developer Midjiwan calls it a “brand new” version. There’s no multiplayer matchmaking, mirror matches, configurable map types, and a brand new Creative Game Mode feature to get you started with. You can even play without an opponent – but that would be weird.
