Best Android games like Pokemon 2021 – Monster Hunter Stories, Teeny Titans, Beastie Bay and more

Sometimes you just want to run around a fantasy world collecting monsters and then pitting them against each other in battles. Unfortunately, there isn’t a suitable Pokemon game on mobile to help you fulfill this desire.

There are, however, a bunch of games that look a lot like Pokemon. So we’ve put together a list that you can browse at your leisure. Some of them capture the essence of Pokémon perfectly, others run away in their own direction.

Hope there is something here that will grab your attention. We have included links so that you can download all the games as well. That pretty much covers everything – here are the best Android games like Pokemon in 2021.

A gorgeous, massive RPG set in the Monster Hunter universe that lets you collect super adorable versions of the creatures you typically slice into pieces with elaborate weapons. It’s pricey at $ 19.99, but well worth the investment if you haven’t played the portable version.

This one uses gacha mechanics when it comes to collecting monsters, but you still build a team of somehow famous monsters and it’s still a lot of fun. Even if you are not a fan of the Dragon Quest series, there is a lot to like here. It’s free to play and there are IAPs out there, but it’s possible to play for free if you’re up for a fight.

Evertale follows the Pokemon model very closely. There are great adventures to be had, and you build your team of violent creatures along the way. It lacks a bit of the charm of Pokemon, but it’s still quite engaging. It’s free with IAP, and the deeper you get into the game it can get a little heavy.

You don’t collect pocket monsters here, you collect action figures based on the Teen Titans. It’s the kind of game that’s going to put a big smile on your face – it’s witty, charming, and damn beautiful too. Teeny Titans is also a premium game without IAP.

Another related TV show, this time with Rick and Morty. You have to collect different Mortys from different timelines and use them to defeat the nonsense of other Mortys. It captures the craziness of the show pretty well, and it’s addicting, too. This one is free to play with IAPs, but it doesn’t pay as much as some.

A beautiful pixel-art collect-’em-all-’em-up from Kairosoft. There’s also city building in there for good measure. There are some really interesting ideas here, and it’s hard not to get carried away. Beastie Bay is free to download, but there are IAPs and ads as well.

Another that closely follows the foundations of the Pokemon series. Walk around a big RPG world, collect monsters, use them to beat other monsters. You can download it for free, but there are IAPs. You can still enjoy the game without having to pay.

This one is so Pokemon that it couldn’t be much more Pokemon. Embark on an adventure of collecting brightly colored monsters (there are over 300 to obtain), evolve your creatures through three stages, wear a neat hat while you do it. It’s free, and an IAP 99c will unlock the entire game and remove ads. There are other IAPs as well, which is not ideal, but Nexomon is still a lot of fun.

More monsters to collect, more worlds to discover. You have 180 creatures to grab hold of, and the game is pretty good too. It will cost you 99c and you can play it offline as well. There are other IAPs for currencies, but you don’t need to pay to take advantage of this one.

Official Pokémon Games

Of course, there are also a bunch of official Pokemon games on the Play Store as well, although none of them are as Pokemon-y as we would like. Here is a list of all of them.
