Hitman Sniper was a pretty impressive long-range murder game that managed to capture the complexity and silliness of Hitman games while working very brilliantly on mobile. So we were pretty excited when some sort of sequel was announced.
And now we’re even more excited because this kind of sequel has a name – Hitman Sniper: The Shadows. And there is also a trailer. Today is a good day if you like painstakingly killing people from afar.
As you can probably see from the trailer, there is no Agent 47 here. He has disappeared into unknown regions and a new squad of assassins has mobilized to put an end to an international criminal conspiracy. By knocking down their chandeliers.
Apparently, the new characters will have their own unique personalities and stories, as well as special skills that will come in handy in different missions. These missions are going to take place all over the world, so hopefully there will be more to do here than in the original Hitman Sniper.
Really, it’s just a slapstick comedy with a quieter ending. And we are all for it. The game is expected to launch on the Play Store later this year, where it will be a free-to-play game with some of those IAPs.
