Cookie Run: Kingdom is a colorful city-building RPG, available now on Android

Following a very successful pre-launch campaign that saw the game attract a million pre-registrations within a week, Cookie Run: Kingdom has arrived on the Google Play Store.

Developed by Devsister, Cookie Run: Kingdom is the sequel to Cookie Run: OverBreak, a free platform game with over 800,000 reviews on the Google Play Store.

This franchise entry is a city-building gacha RPG. This allows you to team up with old and new candy-based characters to cultivate a fantasy kingdom complete with jelly factories, magic labs, and – er – lumber shops.

There are solo battles with Cake Monsters, PvP battles with other players (who may or may not be cake monsters in real life), and over 200 campaign levels to navigate, all while discovering new history details.

Cookie Run: Kingdom looks solid and extremely colorful, although some users in the Google Play Store complain about poor performance. You can probably categorize it under “startup problems”.
