The Genshin Impact 1.2 update is here, just in time. Dubbed “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon,” the update adds new quests and a whole new realm to explore.
This area is called Dragon Spine, and it is a mountainous region covered in snow. You will find it just south of Mondstadt. Dragonspine contains new puzzles, quests, and a menagerie of new creatures to discover, as well as artifacts from a lost civilization.
Because Dragonspine is a cool place, you’ll have a Sheer Cold bar to watch while you’re there – much like the one in Breath of the Wild. While you are at Dragonspine, you will need to take action to ensure that this bar does not drop to zero.
The Chalk and the Dragon, in case you were wondering, is a seasonal event that allows you to join alchemist leader Albedo to investigate a magical sword called Festering Desire. When the event is over, the sword is yours, along with various other items.
There are also two new 5-star characters in the latest update. Albedo is one of them, and the other is a human / adaptus hybrid called Cyro.
