Halfbrick teams up with Krome Studios to revive fish out of the water, Age of Zombies and more

Halfbrick, the studio behind mega mobile phones like Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, has teamed up with Krome, another Australian studio, to revive some of its old games.

Krome Studios is a specialist in relaunching vintage titles, having worn Ty the Tasmanian Tiger on Nintendo Switch and the Bard’s Tale Trilogy on PC, among others.

The partnership could lead to the return of classic titles like Fish Out Of Water and Age of Zombies to the Google Play Store, after years in obsolete purgatory.

That said, the press release also mentions Monster Dash, which is currently available, so it’s possible that the collaboration with Krome will simply see the old Halfbrick games appear on a new platform.

In fact, it is conceivable that none of the “many” titles mentioned in the text are intended for mobiles. Which would explode.
