Micetopia is an objectively adorable pixel-art Metroidvania, released this week on Android

Crescent Moon Games has announced that Micetopia, the very adorable pixel-art metroidvania title from Ninja Rabbit Studios, will arrive on the Google Play Store on Wednesday.

Already available on PC and consoles, Micetopia lets you explore a retro 2D world made up of a dark cave network and a verdant forest. Your objective is to save kidnapped villagers and kill monsters. As you progress, you will unlock new powers that will give you access to new areas.

There are also bosses, as well as hidden areas, fast travel portals, achievements, and more.

It’s a solid yet short game, ideal for young players and casual newcomers to the genre. Which is slightly ironic since its presentation is aimed squarely at players who cut their teeth on the platforms of the 90s.

Either way, you’ll be able to download Micetopia from the Google Play Store for $ 4.99 starting Wednesday.
