NetEase’s stealth multiplayer game launches worldwide

Murderous Pursuits, the multiplayer “stealth” from Chinese developer NetEase Games, has just been launched in Europe, the Americas, Oceania and Africa.

The game kicks off with an event with the distinctly unappealing name of Mr. X’s Partner Program. It aims to recruit content creators and invites players to submit a short video or slightly longer live stream to YouTube or Facebook.

Available on PC since 2008, Murderous Pursuits sees players travel together on a Victorian steampunk airship, with eight opponents attempting to get out without sounding the alarm.

These assassinations are ordered by the mysterious Mr. X, and you must execute them while avoiding the guards and other party animals.

It’s an interesting concept, although it’s fair to say that Murderous Pursuits received mixed reviews on PC, with critics complaining of underpopulated servers. I hope it can do better on mobile, where it is infinitely less expensive.

You can download Murderous Pursuits for free now from the Google Play Store.
