Niantic increases the maximum level of Pokemon GO to 50

Developer Niantic is tweaking Pokemon GO, his geolocation-based AR game, which is conquering the world, to make it more attractive to its gradually shrinking audience.

Starting November 30, you can earn more XP for doing ordinary things like catching Pokémon, evolving them, hatching eggs, and more. The amount of XP offered will increase dramatically, doubling in some cases.

There will be rewards for those coaches who put in the effort and reached level 40 by the end of the year as well. These devoted souls will earn the Legacy 40 Trainer title, along with various in-game rewards.

And at some point in the future, the level cap will increase to 50, giving die-hard Pokemon GO players a new carrot to hunt by completing tasks and leveling up.

Other changes are also in the works, including Adventure Sync, Field Research, Gifts, Buddy Adventure, and more.

The new content will arrive in Australia first, and it will land tomorrow. The rest of us can catch up later.
