Pigeon: A Love Story will let you explore a full-scale live-stream London map in search of love, coming next month on Android

If you like experimental games, pigeons and the city of London, this story is for you. Pigeon: A Love Story, from developer Wristwork, is a meditative game that lets you fly over a 3D map of London in search of your pigeon’s soul mate.

London is a very big city, of course, and there are a million pigeons in the game, so you’re unlikely to find your lover. Instead, you’ll fly around, cooing unnecessarily among the clouds and enjoying the spectacle of a virtual London broadcast using live map data.

The trailer shows your pigeon in silhouette flying through an eerily crowded sky dotted with what looks like donuts. From the map below emerge place names, road numbers and random bits of dialogue.

It’s hard to know what to do with Pigeon: A Love Story, but we think it looks like an interesting and potentially captivating indie game. It won’t cost you a lot to try it – only 99c. Not bad for a whole capital.

You can pre-register for Pigeon: A Love Story now on the Google Play Store.
