Pokemon Unite is a MOBA Pokemon,

Pokemon Unite, the next MOBA from The Pokemon Company and Tencent, is getting beta in Canada.

Originally revealed last year, Pokemon Unite is a 5v5 MOBA that combines Pokemon combat with the tactical team-based multiplayer gameplay of, for example, League of Legends.

It’s developed by TiMi Studios, the Tencent grant responsible for the hugely popular Call of Duty: Mobile, as well as PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, and Contra: Return. The Pokemon franchise is in good hands, in other words.

Unfortunately, there is no release date for the beta version, let alone the full version. The trailer above doesn’t give much either, although the official site reveals that you’ll need to catch and level up Pokemon. It’s not all that surprising.

Hopefully we can all play Pokemon Unite at some point this year, even if Canada will beat us all in the process.
