PUBG: New State, the upcoming sequel to the hugely popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile, has surpassed 5 million pre-registrations just a week after it went live on the Google Play Store.
We don’t know if that’s some sort of record, but it’s a lot, especially given that China, India and Vietnam are not included. The milestone is also a good indicator of how busy PUBG: New State servers are when the game is released.
From a gameplay point of view. PUBG: New State will see you doing more or less what you do in PUBG Mobile: running around a shrunken battlefield trying to kill everyone before you kill yourself.
It is, however, more graphically sophisticated than its predecessor, with “ultra-realistic” visuals and a more grainy, more grounded appearance. The game’s 2051 setting lets you explore a post-apocalyptic world contested by violent factions using technologically advanced weapons and equipment. It looks like an explosion.
PUBG: New State will launch “in 2021,” which isn’t overly encouraging for the impatient. This will of course be free and you will get an exclusive vehicle skin for pre-registration.
So go ahead and do this now if you haven’t already.
