Prizefighters 2, the sequel to the highly acclaimed Prizefighters, is coming to Android in a few weeks, with a launch date slated for December 17th.
Although it looks a lot like the classic Punch-Out !! From the NES era, Prizefighters 2 is a more complex and nuanced beast, offering a surprisingly authentic take on the noble art of hitting someone hard in the face and torso.
The gameplay will allow you to create a custom boxer before embarking on a career in the ring. This will not only involve fights but also training between fights, awarding attribute points to different different categories of your boxer’s profile.
Your weight will be affected by training, and you will need to avoid burning yourself in the gym to have some energy for your matches.
In the ring, meanwhile, Prizefighters 2 expands on the gameplay of its predecessor with a wider array of onscreen buttons for punching and dodging. Physical controllers are also supported.
It looks bloated. You will be able to get your hands on Prizefighters 2 in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can pre-register now on the Google Play Store.
