Riot Games has revealed – via puzzles, puzzles, and amateur sleuth work – that the Sentinels of Light cross-game event is set to kick off next month. It takes place across all Riot titles, which means there are new things to come. League of Legends: Savage Rift, Legends of Runeterra and Team combat tactics.
What will this content be? Well, we’re not really sure at the moment. Sentinels of Light is going to be a storytelling event across all of Riot’s titles, but what that will mean is not yet clear.
We know this will follow the Ruination story. If you don’t know what it is, we’ve pasted a trailer below so you can catch up on the flip up.
We know that we will have a new champion in League of Legends: Wild Rift, namely Akshan, and maybe a few more besides. And we also know there is a charitable aspect to the Sentinels of Light event, thanks to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.
We also know that the Ruined King is going to be involved in all the shenanigans. Maybe being in a bad mood and waving a big sword. Don’t quote us on that, though. It is also a fact that the whole event will start on July 8th.
