Square Enix announces western release of Dragon Quest Tact on Android

Dragon Quest Tact is coming to the West, Square Enix announced on Twitter.

We last wrote about the game right before it launched in Japan in July. At this point, no Western version had been confirmed, although it seemed likely that there would be one. And there will be.

Directed by Dragon Quest creator Yuki Horii, Dragon Quest Tact is a turn-based tactical role-playing game where you have to befriend, train, and battle various monsters in Dragon Quest Lore.

Matches take place on a grid, the characters take turns performing cartoony attacks, on top of each other.

Not only is Yuki Horii attached to the project, but the game benefits from the participation of composer Koichi Sugiyama and the monster designs of Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama.

Overall, Dragon Quest Tact looks solid. You can pre-register for the game now on the Google Play Store.
