Street Fighter Duel Gets Global Launch

Street Fighter Duel has been in China for about a year now, but over the weekend Capcom confirmed that their character collection RPG is going to go global in the not-so-distant future.

The game sees you building a team of world warriors and then taking them into turn-based battles to prove that your party is the most combative. This is by no means an official description of the game.

But it’s fair to say that the game isn’t a direct conversion of the classic quarter-circle combat we all know and love. It’s not a Puzzle Fighter riff either. Which is also a shame.

Here is a new competitor

The game was developed by Topjoy and Tencent, with input from Capcom, and features a roster of 30 characters. They are divided into different elements including wind, mountain, fire, forest, and darkness. None of these are actually elements, let’s call them types instead.

That pretty much covers everything we know about Street Fighter Duel right now, but you can rest assured that when we hear of a global launch date, you’ll be the first people we tell. Honest.
