Terraria will not be removed from the Google Play Store, confirms the developer

Yesterday, we reported that the developer Terraria and Re-Logic studio founder Andrew Spinks had announced via a Twitter rant that the next Stadia version of the game was canceled.

Why? Because Google blocked him out of his Google account for unknown reasons, preventing him from accessing his games and other media, his Drive and, worst of all, his long-standing Gmail account, forcing an exasperated Spinks to announce that he no longer wanted him to work with Google.

This naturally led many Twitter users to speculate on the future of the hugely popular Android version of Terraria, which has been successfully downloaded over a million times, with an average score of 4.6 out of over 300,000 reviews. .

Respond to a IGN request, Re-Logic revealed that the company’s embargo on Google only applies to future projects. All games created by Re-Logic from now on will miss Android, but existing games will remain on the platform.

“Punishing customers who have paid for our game on these platforms is not our goal,” Re-Logic said.

Phew.

You can download Terraria from the Google Play Store now for $ 4.99.
