Funko Pop! Blitz’s latest move in its mission to absorb all popular culture is a crossover event involving 1985 cult classic The Breakfast Club.
In case you didn’t know, The Breakfast Club is a heart-breaking John Hughes film about an unhappy and seemingly disparate group of teenagers who find common ground in a tumultuous Saturday morning detention session.
These iconic teens – Andrew Clark, Allison Reynolds, Claire Standish, John Bender and Brian Johnson – along with their suave deputy director Richard Vernon, are all available to collect in Funko Pop! Blitz until January 27.
Throughout the event, crayons and paper items will appear on the board every round of match-three. If you can drop them to the bottom, you’ll add a bit more to the essay you need to write for the dreaded Vernon.
For the uninitiated, Funko Pop! Blitz is a cute and playable casual match-three puzzle game built around a wide array of pop culture artifacts, from Back to the Future to The Breakfast Club.
