Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is now available on Android – but only on tablets

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, Kalypso Media’s strategy game based in the vast universe of Warhammer, has just arrived on the Google Play Store. You can play it right now as long as you have an Android tablet.

The game, which has been released for a few years on Steam, allows you to lead your forces of Adeptus Mechanicus across the planet Silva Tenebris in search of ancient technologies secreted in the Tombs of Necron. If there’s one more Warhammer phrase than this, we’ll eat our hats.

In terms of gameplay, you’ll need to manage your team and resources as you progress through the campaign, with each battle increasing both the difficulty and the rewards.

The mobile (well, tablet) port of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus comes with the Heretic DLC, which adds five missions to the base game and takes you deeper into the belly of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction as you take on heretical Tech-Priests .

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is written by Dark Library author Ben Counter, and you can download it now for $ 11.99.

As long as you own an Android tablet.

Update: A handful of readers pointed out that they were able to download Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus on their non-tablet devices. We can’t (LG G7), but the tablet / smartphone limit seems ill-defined in this case, you might have better luck.
