Conor McGregor enters mobile gaming industry with Dystopia: Contest of Heroes

Conor McGregor, the colorful and controversial UFC superstar, has decided it’s time to become the face of a mobile strategy game.

Dystopia: Contest of Heroes, from developer Beetroot Lab, is a real-time strategy game in which players from all over the world compete in regular tournaments for real prizes.

Beetroot Lab describes Dystopia: Contest of Heroes as a mid-core strategy game, with a progression system aimed squarely at casual players and even non-players.

You’ll start by researching a location for your rebel base in a post-apocalyptic future where the company is run by corporations. Then you will have to create a presence, expand your empire, attack other players, improve your base, and everything in between.

The game supports alliances of up to 100 players, with what feels like an EVE Online virtual society level, involving economic growth, war, and more.

But the main attraction seems to be the tournament platform hosted by Conor McGregor. Tournaments of various types will take place daily, weekly and monthly, and the prize will include signed merchandise and a meeting with Notorious himself.

You can download Dystopia: Contest of Heroes for free now from the Google Play Store.
